Saturday Scruples Questions:

1. Outside a conference room in a hotel, participants are enjoying sandwiches, coffee, and pastries. You could use some refreshment. Do you help yourself?
Heck no! I'm not THAT tacky!

2. It's a sweltering night and you don't have air conditioning. Your new neighbors are away and their swimming pool looks inviting. Do you cool off in it?
Of course not! Talk about tacky; not to mention rude, inconsiderate, and illegal.....

3. Your teenager nervously confesses that s/he is sexually attracted to his/her own sex. Do you react in a supportive way?
I'm not sure what I would do. But I should hope my reaction would not discourage my teenager from coming to me again about something this important.

Friday Five Questions:

1. How many houses/apartments have you lived in throughout your life?
Oh, too many to count......but let me try; 11 I think.

2. Which was your favorite and why?
In my adult life, the one I am currently living in is my favorite, because even though I'm renting, it actually feels like home; not just a place I'm staying. We have a wonderful yard and I can plant flowers outside. Plus the neighborhood is good. The last place I lived in; I couldn't be comfortable leaving my kid home alone because of the neighborhood. (I realized that only after I moved there.)

3. Do you find moving house more exciting or stressful? Why?
It depends on the circumstances. This last move was really exciting. We painted every wall in the place, got to pick out the carpet, got a new fridge and tub; How many rental places do you get to do that with?

4. What's more important, location or price?
Probably most important is the location. If the price is right but the location sucks, I wouldn't take it.

5. What features does your dream house have (pool, spa bath, big yard, etc.)?
A big back yard, a fireplace somewhere in the house, an upstairs (for bedrooms), 2 bathrooms, and lots of real wood!

Thursday Thumb-Twiddler Questions:

1. Would you be willing to commit perjury for a friend? For example, would you testify under oath that your friend was driving carefully when she hit a pedestrian, even though she had actually been joking aorund and not paying attention?
I really don't think I would be willing to commit perjury no matter what the circumstances were. That's a serious offense.

2. Would you rather have a legal system that never punishes the innocent but often lets the guilty go free, or a system that sometimes punishes the innocent but never frees the guilty?
I would rather have a legal system that punishes the guilty and never the innocent. (I know; not one of the choices.) As far as never freeing the guilty; it really depends on what they are guilty of. I do believe in fair punishment.

3. On your death a memorial fund is going to be established in your name, with a substantial amount of money endowing it. For what cause would you want the money to be used?
I think some sort of education fund for those less fortunate. This is one of the first things the government decides to cut when they are "low" on funds. I believe if more people had an opportunity to further their education, they probably would, and maybe the crime level would go down instead of up.

9. Go Fish or Gin Rummy?
Gin Rummy I guess.

10. Thought-Provoking Question of the Week: You have a young child (or just babysit one), who is about 6-7 years old, and you like to play various games with him/her. Do you: let the child win sometimes to help improve his/her self-esteem, or play normally, in order to teach the child that we can't always win in life?
Well, I have done this; I let the child win sometimes. Games are supposed to be for fun, so if we let them win a few, it'll be more fun for them and not worry too much about the games they didn't win. If the adult always wins, the kid isn't going to want to play much. (Teaching them about winning in life is a different 'game' altogether.)

Monday Madness Questions:

1. If you were to write a book, what would it be about?
IF I could write and I wrote a book, it would be a poetry book.

2. What three food items would combine to make the most disgusting concoction ever?
Oh, there could be a lot of foods that, when combined, could make really disgusting concoctions, but the three that come to mind are; mixing cottage cheese, anchovies, and cavier, for a "delightful" dip!

3. What is your favorite time of day and why?
My favorite time of day is probably early evening. Why? Because my work day is usually over by then but I still have the whole evening to enjoy.
