Saturday Scruples....
1. An elderly friend is lonely. He talks in an endless monologue. Do you continue the friendship out of sympathy?
If he is a friend, there wouldn't be a question of whether I would continue the friendship. If he is just an acquaintance, then I would probably continue the 'friendship' anyway. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to do a lot of stuff with this person, but I wouldn't ingnore him either.

2. On a cold spring day, you drive through a puddle and soak a pedestrian. Do you stop to make mends?
I probably wouldn't stop my car to apologize to a pedestrian for splashing him/her. I would try not to splash them in the first place.

3. You think your "ex" is lower than a snake. Do you show your kids how you feel about their parent?
NO! That is their parent! I would never try to persuade my kid to disrespect their other parent just because him and I can't stand each other.

"Friday Five's"..............and I'm EARLY this week!

1. Who is your favorite celebrity?
You know, this is a hard one...........I don't really have one 'favorite.' But the last couple of movies that I've seen Sandra Bullock in have been really entertaining. If we're looking for a 'legend' I think Meryl Streep is very talented. She can play any role and do it well!

2. Who is your least favorite?
Probably a few I could list here too, but the first one that comes to mind is that dumb guy that played in "Liar, Liar"; you know, the guy with the huge teeth, big mouth; supposed to be funny..........??? Well, I don't like him. Oh, his name is Jim Carey. He's definitely on my list!

3. Have you ever met or seen any celebrities in real life?
No. Sad to say I haven't.

4. Would you want to be famous? Why or why not?
I guess a little part of me at times has dreamed of being famous, but I'm really happy just being a 'joe averages citizen.' I hear about how those people have no privacy; working 24-7; around the clock; never home when they're doing a film/tour; not for me! I'm a home-body!

5. If you had to trade places with a celebrity for a day, who would you choose and why?
Hard to pick an individual; but if I was a guy I'd like to trade places with David Letterman. It looks like he has fun on the job. I would pick a woman talk-show host, but I can't think of any that I like enough to choose. Maybe Rosie O'Donnell when she had her show..........

Looks like I'll be twiddlin' for a while..................questions from "Thursday Thumb Twiddlers"

1. "Life is like a mountain." Discuss.
Hmmmmmmmm.........well, it certainly has it's ups and downs........

2. "Life is like a river." Defend.
On one hand, I like this thought. Life is like a river means to me that it never stops. I guess I would look at that as eternal life. On the other hand, life is like a river means to me that it keeps running. Running isn't always good. (I'm not sure if this is what I'm supposed to be doing here.) You gotta slow down. Life DOES seem like a river sometimes when it's going to fast. And don't think it'll slow down by itself either. You need to HELP it. So there's the two ways I look at that sentence.....

3. "Life is like an open plain." Explain.
Now, this one I can see very plainly. Life IS like an open plain. A lot of what happens in our life is a result of which direction we decide to take. It's an open plain. There are endless possibilities and endless directions you could go. There are endless turns our lives take. But we do have some control over which turns and directions our lives take. We start with a clean slate; do with it what you may............

REAL thinkers!

Wednesday What If's....

1. What if you fell in love with someone who insisted that the two of you live happily ever after... on a houseboat?
I guess if I loved him, I would consider it. I guess if he loved me, he would consider my feelings...

2. What if you could brew a potion to make anyone you want fall in love with you, but you would know it is a magical love and not true love?
Then I would say 'forget it.'

3. What if you could create the perfect man/woman for you to love?
I don't think there IS such a thing as a "perfect" anything. Well, maybe a woman; but a MAN??????? (ha!)

4. What if your lover wanted to spend their entire life in a single town and never see the rest of the world?
Then he would be spending his entire life without me. I need to go places; experience new things........maybe I don't do that as much as I'd like to, but I certainly wouldn't be stuck in one town for the rest of my life!

5. What if you could look into the future and see the man/woman with whom you would one day fall in love and marry -- would you leap at the chance, or leave it to be a surprise adventure?
I love surprises, so there's my answer!

This or That's.................

1. File taxes as early as possible, or wait until the last possible minute?
As early as possible!!!
2. File electronically, or mail paper forms?
Mail!!!

3. Prepare your own taxes, or have someone do it for you?
Mine are so easy, I prepare them myself.

4. Are you a saver or a spender?
Well, I TRY to save, but I don't really make enough money right now to do much of that; but I'm pretty cheap; I'm not a BIG spender...

5. Do you prefer to carry cash, or pay with plastic (credit/debit cards), or by check?
Checks; plastic can get you (well, ME) in trouble and cash can be spent too easily.

6. You're broke and desperately need a job, but the only places that are hiring are retail or fast food places. Which would you pick?
I'm not much of a salesperson, but I think I would HATE to work in a fast food place, so I guess retail.

7. Keeping track of your money: are you more meticulous or careless about it?
No question; meticulous!

8. What do you do if you find yourself with a lot of change weighing down your purse/pocket/wallet? Do you try to spend it to *get rid of it*, or do you put it in a jar or a piggy bank?
I put it in a safe place; I guess I'm saving for a big "vacation."

9. Which form of fake money do you like better...Monopoly money or those chocolate coins covered with gold foil?
DUH! Chocolate coins of course!

10. Thought-provoking question of the week: You find a wallet containing $5,000 in cash, as well as several credit cards and the owner's drivers' license. Your rent is due tomorrow and you're short $200. Do you take the money (some or all of it) and mail back the wallet anonymously...or do you return the wallet with all contents intact?
I wouldn't think twice about this one; I would contact the person and return it all intact.

Monday Madness Questions/Answers...

1. Which one pet that you've owned in your life was/is your favorite? Why?
I would have to say one of the pets I curently own; Callie. She's a cat and she is very shy, but she is a sweet kitty. She comes up on the back of my chair when I'm at the computer and purrs (loudly) and rubs up against my neck. She loves attention (from her owners) and purrs a lot!

2. What one thing have you always wanted to try, but have been too afraid to? Do you still want to try it?
For a long time now, I have wanted to try to run my own business (some type of printing business. But not just printing; designing the things I print); be my own boss. Of course there's no guarenteed income so I haven't tried it. Yes, I still would like to try that. But will I? Probably not....

3. If you could invent something, what would you invent? Give it a name...
This may not sound too exciting, or something everyone who ever types hasn't thought of, but I would invent a new keyboard for computers; one that has a key so if you accidentally leave the 'caps lock' key on and type too much (or worse yet, edit something someone else has typed in all caps) you can just highlight the text and press the 'un-caps' key. That's what I would call the key; the UN-CAPS key.
