This week's Saturday Scruples....

1. Browsing in an "adult store" at lunch hour, you witness a colleague buying a large inflatable woman. Do you mention it to co-workers?
First of all, you'd NEVER find me 'browsing' in an adult store! BUT........if I was, no I would not mention it to co-workers. What's to say that co-worker wouldn't mention seeing me in that same store? Plus, I figure; whatever floats your boat....

2. Your eight-year-old is getting pushed around at school. Do you tell your child to "turn the other cheek"?
I'm not sure if I would use those exact words, but I know I would not encourage her to fight back either. I would defiinitely tell her to take the information to a teacher and I would also talk to the teacher myself.

3. An armored car turns over across the freeway. People are stuffing their pockets. Do you join them?
NO! I don't need money THAT bad! That's not only immoral; it's illegal!!!

Friday Five's....

1. Name one song you hate to admit you like.
There's probably several of them............can't name one right now.

2. Name two songs that always make you cry.
There isn't even one song that makes me cry; oh, except "On Eagle's Wings" (a song that is played at a lot of funerals.)

3. Name three songs that turn you on.
Songs don't 'turn me on.' Sorry to disappoint you...

4. Name four songs that always make you feel good.
Any song with an upbeat rhythm; there's lots of them.

5. Name five songs you couldn't ever do without.
I like music so in general I would not want to ever do without music; but five specific songs? I don't think so.........

strange........

Wednesday What-If's....

1. What if you were offered the chance to travel back in time to stop yourself from doing something really stupid that you now regret having done?
I guess if I were to do that, it may change other things in my life so I wouldn't take the opportunity. Of course I've done things I now regret; but I've learned to leave them behind me and move on...

2. What if you could travel forward in time to see what the "you" of the future is like?
That thought is a little scarey. I like to take the future 'one day at a time.'

3. What if you could travel back in time to change one world event?
Well, as far as coming up with something really profound; sorry to disappoint you..............again; I'm sure it would change a bunch of other things too. So I'm for leaving it alone.

4. What if you could choose to relive a single day in your life over and over again, as much or as little as you want -- what day would it be?
I can't think of one day that stands out in my life so much that I would choose it to relive over and over again..........

5. What if you were offered the chance to travel forward in time and see your death -- the date, time, and cause?
No WAY!!! Remember? I like surprises...............no really; I would NOT like to know when and how I will die. That's just creepy!

Take Comfort...from This or That Tuesday.....

Which is more comforting for you...

1. Lying down on the couch, or stretching out on a recliner?
Since my couch is shorter than I am, my recliner!

2. Going barefoot or wearing soft slippers?
I LOVE wearing slippers! (Of course my house is usually too cold to go barefoot.............but I'm pickin' slippers!)

3. Eating ice cream, or pizza?
Pizza!

4. Watching on TV...a classic movie or a reality show?
More comforting? Watching a classic movie. The only reality show I watch is Survivor.

5. Wearing: blue jeans or sweat pants?
Sweat pants all the way!

6. A long, soothing bubble bath or a quick, invigorating shower?
I'd like to say a long soothing bath, but the water can never stay hot enough long enough for me......so I'm going with a quick invigorating shower.

7. Furniture: leather, or something more on the fuzzy side?
Fuzzy!

8. Soft, classical music, or upbeat rock & roll?
probably classical music......

9. Darkness or light?
If I'm outside; light. If I'm inside; I like either. I usually have at least one lamp on though when it's dark outside and I'm inside. I get a cozy feeling.

10. Thought-provoking question of the week: You get married, or otherwise begin cohabitating with a significant other. S/he moves into your place, but brings with them the UGLIEST chair you have ever seen! You really don't want this thing in your home, but SO says it is the most comfy chair s/he has ever sat in, and no way will they part with it. Do you: grin and bear it, or scheme to get rid of the montrosity somehow?
Good question...............well, it's not like my furniture is all that and I do like my home to be 'comfortable and useful' rather than 'elegant and uncomfortable' so I think I would grin and bear it. We all have different tastes.

Monday Madness Questions...

1. Do you like to cook? Why or why not?
In general, cookin's not my bag. I guess the reason is because it seems to take so long to cook something that's supposed to taste so good and when I finally sit down to eat it (which takes 15 minutes) it doesn't taste half as good as I thought it should. Then there's all that cleanin' ya have to do afterward. If I could just learn how to cook like my Mom; she knows how to cook stuff that only takes a little while to prepare and it always tastes like she spent all day cooking it.

2. What is your favorite recipe? Is it one you use on a regular basis? (Feel free to share the recipe with us!)
My favorite recipe...........hmmmmmm............whatever I can throw in the crockpot in the morning and see it's done when I come home from work!

3. If you owned a restaurant, what would the theme be? What would your restaurant be called?
I was just talking about this subject to a friend of mine and we decided that if we owned a restaurant we would call it something like, "Anything Goes." Neither one of us has a very good reputation for being good cooks so it was kind of a joke but we would cook all kinds of food; probably Mexican and American; and we would have a 'featured special' each day. (I would probably run the business part of it though. I would hire a cook!)
