Today's question at Random Questions is:
September is National Better Breakfast Month! What do you usually have for breakfast? Is breakfast really the most important meal of the day? Explain.
Well, usually (after I get to work of course; I'm lucky to get ready on time without 'preparing' a meal!) I have a couple pieces of toast or an english muffin or a bagel. Just with butter though; well, not butter but margarine. BUT some days I actually eat a pop tart (or two) or a toaster scrambler (or two) and I know that I shouldn't do that very often. Now on the weekends, I try to make breakfast for me and the kid at least on Sunday. We always go to church on Saturday so I DO have time to make breakfast on Sunday. (Not that you asked.) If I make breakfast for us (that one day a week) I usually make eggs and toast or omelets. I do think breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I think if you skip breakfast on a regular basis, your body tends to hang onto whatever you put in it for lunch cuz it hasn't had anything since you ate last night. (Geesh! Do I sound like a tard or what??)

This week at Lulu's Lines:
My hope is.............that my daughter gets an excellent high school education and that her grades are high enough (no doubt in my mind really) to earn her some scholarships for college! I will MISS her when she goes. I can't imagine 'home' without my kid. I also hope that she grows to be a happy, positive, kind, and considerate adult! These things are really what's important. I also hope she never has to struggle in life. I mean, everyone has struggles; but there are certain ones I think we can avoid if we really think things out before doing them. Sometimes they aren't a result of what we've done or not done; things just happen. I want her to have a good job and not have to ever worry about where her next meal is coming from. I should HOPE if that's ever the case, she knows where to come! My hope is that she will have the kind of relationship with me, that I have with my mother now. Oh, I have other hopes, but those are top on my list! Good Wednesday to ya!

Time for memes! First, I'll do today's and yesterday's Random Questions..............
Yesterday's: What is/are your favorite website(s) to visit? Why? Feel free to share the link.
Well, I like to visit all my family's blogs and you can find the links to those on my other blog; that's Otto's New Pad. I like the memes I participate in regularly and you can find those at my blog too. Oh, and in that list (bottom left column on my blog) you can find links to lots of other good blogs! Aside from personal blogs, I visit some other sites quite regularly as well. Those would include tutorial sites for PSP 7 and Photo Shop 7 and Photo Shop Elements 2. Oh, always looking for good icons to use on my blinkies! If you know of any places I don't have listed on my blinkie page, please share!

Today's: How do you like your eggs cooked? Why?
I like my eggs cooked several different ways. I'll name them: scrambled, over hard (that's with the white and the yellow fully cooked), over medium (would that be with the yolk soft but the white fully cooked?), and in omelets. Oh, I like them boiled too, but I don't generally eat boiled eggs for breakfast; I save those for making egg salad sandwiches! Never had a poached egg and don't have any desire too! Why? Because there just can't be any runny white stuff in my eggs!! Eggsactly!!! NO runny white stuff!

Now for Monday Madness
1. If you discovered the brakes on your car weren't working, what would be the first thing you'd do? (Assume that you NEEDED to stop.)
I'm kind of cheating by posting this question because my Mom just told me what to do. Let's hope I can remember correctly, cuz I'm sure she'll be reading this!! Ok, first of all, shift down to the next lower gear, then the lowest gear so that the car will come to a gradual stop. Then try applying your emergency brake. (Right order, right?)

2. Do you consider yourself to be a safe driver; respecting speed limits and all other road rules?
Yes, I do consider myself to be a safe driver. I tend to go around 5 miles over the speed limit on the highways but not much over that. Execption: Yesterday I went the speed limit most of the way cuz there were cops out there! But I'm a good driver; I think that's why I get so frustrated with people who are not paying attention to the road signs while driving. Just a few that I've seen people ignore: 'No Turn On Red' ~ 'No Left Turn' ~ 'No Right Turn' ~ A left turn arrow that is NOT blinking when red means you MAY NOT turn left until it turns GREEN!

3. If you see someone on the side of the road that appears to be having car problems, would you stop to help them? Why or why not?
I wouldn't stop to help; only cuz of all the scary stuff going on in the world right now. I hate to say it, but that person would have to wait for someone else to stop and help them.
